The 37-metre 2007-built superyacht Destiny (ex; Ilona) has recently completed her latest refit following a change in ownership towards the end of 2015. With both exterior and interior design from the drawing boards of the Italian design team at Luxury Projects, she returned home to Heesen for her technical survey before the completion of her latest overhaul.
Following the brief of the young owners for an all-white yacht, the design approach was less is more, said Laura Pomponi, CEO and Founder at Luxury Projects. The following photos show in detail her key areas before and after the project.
With the work undertaken and completed in just three months by the team headed by Laura Pomponi, superyacht Destiny ’s owner comments on a very happy collaborative experience: “Working with Luxury Projects has been the best experience we have ever had in all the years working with many other decorators and designers. The idea of a very modern minimal yacht that is also appealing in the charter market was the start.”
“Laura and her team were always ready to listen to anything we had to say, ready to give us the proper time and discuss our ideas. Then Luxury Projects would offer us all possible options before we decided how to finalise any area on our boat. They were very quick in translation of our ideas but yet still so picky at the same time in every single detail. We really personally clicked with Laura as a person. From our first meeting, it was clear, as she is so unbelievably easy going and passionate with her work. From all this experience, the best thing was the shock I had when I first saw the job done.”
“I fell in love with Destiny the second I walked into her main deck lounge, not only the work and craftsmanship was perfectly done but Luxury Projects made the perfect use of each and every room – everything is so extremely beautiful and useful at the same time. It is amazing. If I were to buy another boat, Luxury Projects would definitely be my first and last option. I thank Laura and her team truly and with all my heart for doing the best job ever and letting me enjoy every day at sea.”
